A calm, supportive space for you
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn next. Life can become heavy in ways we don’t always expect, and it can be hard to make sense of things on your own. Counselling offers a gentle, steady space where you can explore what’s happening for you at your own pace.
My aim is to provide a warm, grounded relationship where you feel heard, understood, and supported — a space where you can bring whatever you’re carrying, without judgement or pressure.
How I work
Although I have over 15 years’ experience in areas such as trauma, abuse and neurodivergence, I don’t assume these are the whole story. People often come to therapy with a mixture of emotional, relational and identity‑based concerns. My role is to help you explore how these threads connect, rather than narrowing your experience to a single explanation.
In our sessions, you can expect:
- A warm, non‑judgemental atmosphere
- Space to talk openly and honestly
- Gentle exploration rather than pressure
- A pace that feels right for you
- A trauma‑informed perspective
- Support in making sense of your feelings, experiences, and patterns
Counselling is not about being “fixed” — it’s about being met, understood, and supported as you find your own way forward.
What clients often find helpful
Clients often tell me that therapy helps them understand themselves more fully — not just the difficulties that brought them here, but the wider patterns, pressures and histories that shape their lives. Together we explore both the specific challenges and the broader context of who you are and how you’ve learned to cope.
What counselling can help with
I work with people navigating a wide range of experiences, including trauma, identity, neurodivergence, relationship patterns, shame, burnout and life transitions. These experiences rarely exist in isolation, and therapy offers space to explore how they intersect and what they mean for you.
What to expect in sessions
Counselling sessions are your space. You can bring whatever feels important — thoughts, feelings, memories, questions, or simply a sense of not knowing where to begin.
Together, we’ll explore at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Some sessions may feel reflective, others more emotional or practical. There is no right or wrong way to be here.
About me
I am an experienced counsellor with a strong grounding in person‑centred and integrative practice. My work is guided by warmth, curiosity, and a commitment to creating a safe, steady space where you can explore your experiences with honesty and compassion.
About my experience
I bring many years of experience working with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, each with their own stories, challenges, and strengths. My work has included supporting people through anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and times of significant change.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked in community and organisational settings, offering counselling to individuals facing complex and often long‑standing difficulties. These experiences have deepened my belief in the importance of a steady, compassionate therapeutic relationship — a space where people can feel safe enough to explore what hurts and hopeful enough to imagine something different.
My practice is grounded in person‑centred and integrative approaches, shaped by ongoing training, supervision, and a commitment to reflective, ethical work. What clients often tell me they value is my calm presence, my ability to listen deeply, and the sense of being met without judgement.
Clients often find that therapy helps them:
- develop a clearer understanding of themselves
- feel validated and less “broken” or abnormal
- build coping strategies that actually fit who they are
- improve emotional regulation and relationships
- reconnect with themselves in a more compassionate way.
